What a way to end the year. We had some new people introduce them selves and see what antics we get up too. Daryl brought in the new Bunbury Library Ender Pro 3 Neo 3D printer and had it printing out some things. There where robots running around on the floor, Raspberry Pi games being developed, a Nintendo Switch being hacked, Software for a car air-conditioning system being developed, along with general Maker Space discussions. It was a great way to end the year.

Had a great turnout , with a number of new people showing up to see all the action. There were discussions around tracking power outages, www.printables.com/ , www.thingiverse.com/ and www.makera.com/products/carvera. Great to see some robots running around.
Even with a few apologies, it was a great turn out with a few new faces from the Science Fair coming along to see some robots.
Steve had some robots running around the room, Rick was working on a ESP32 powered dual temperature data collector, that was display the data via a built in hosted webpage. Harry turned up with a working drone, left to fly it for a bit, and returned with a broken drone. Danny had a 3D CNC brass fitting that his new machine had cut out, along with a video showing it being cut out. Tim was working on some software, or a design on his laptop. I had some RGB LED controllers that I was trying to upload a new program too and some other gear. Being a quiet morning due to a number of people away with other family events on, we had a very hands on learning morning. Ollie was writing Python based games and started learning how to use Gimp to edit and create images and Brock had fun learning electronics and playing around with Arduino and sensors etc. Tim was working on designing something and Diane managed to get a bit of sewing done. The morning went very fast.
This was held on Saturday the 13th of August and ran from 2pm to 6pm at the main Bunbury Library. What a blast! There where 5 of us each with a display table where we met and chatted around 1500 people over the afternoon and discussed our projects that we had on display. Even the squally weather didn't keep people away. There where other groups presenting science based information as well. A fantastic day and we hope it will become a annual event.
A great turnout for a winter meeting and with all the rain and wind.
Harry was working on his home made Macro keyboard. He now has the OLED screen working and designing up the next version. Phillip was playing around with some online HR Radio reception and decoding data. Stephen was finishing off a PCB design for a fan and heater controller board for his resin 3D printer. Steve dropped off some drawings of the proposed Dardanup Maker Space. Rick scootered in and worked on some software. I brought along a new ESP32-S3 8MB RAM and 16MB Flash board that I had just assembled. There was also a new version of my Name Badge e-Paper board. There was lots of conversation around the table, some some mentions of: Super Slicer that some people prefer to use. We all loved the inspirational Smart Harptic Knob I have already ordered the magnetic encoder IC and created a breakout PCB for it. No photos, but we had a new member come along with some fancy acrylic bottle openers. Two people working of software development. Harry was learning KiCAD and designing a mini Macro Keyboard and I was writing some software for one of my recently assembled PCB's.
A smaller meeting this time around and with no photos. Lots of chatting though and some of us got some work done.
Harry had a new laptop to show off, Phillip worked on a coding project, Steve brought some Robots along and I worked on getting the Sound Engineering board onto the local WiFi network, while displaying a Godot example on the projector screen. .The first meeting of the year saw us meeting at the Bunbury City Library. There where around 10 people who came along for a chat, or brought projects along to work on. Caitlin was building a Unity front end for the Sound Engineering PCB that a few of use are working on. Rick brought along his ECU controller and laid it all out with the various sensors and spark-plugs etc: and by the end of the meeting there where lots of sparks flying: Stephen was working on his Home Assistant software, integrating in some Bunnings Alec controllers: Plus the usual desk full of electronics: Our last meeting of the year was held at the INTR Studio in downtown Bunbury - just before they moved to a new location. No photos unfortunatly, but we all sat around tables in the center of the room and chatted while working on our projects. Tim brought along a metal saw and had a go at building a frame. Caitlin had all her Arduino gear out to play with and we helped. Harry was working on his battery replacer power supply. Other people worked on their software projects too. A big thanks to Caitlin for hosting us!
