Even with a few apologies, it was a great turn out with a few new faces from the Science Fair coming along to see some robots.

Steve had some robots running around the room, Rick was working on a ESP32 powered dual temperature data collector, that was display the data via a built in hosted webpage.

Harry turned up with a working drone, left to fly it for a bit, and returned with a broken drone.  Danny had a 3D CNC brass fitting that his new machine had cut out, along with a video showing it being cut out.

Tim was working on some software, or a design on his laptop.  I had some RGB LED controllers that I was trying to upload a new program too and some other gear.

Being a quiet morning due to a number of people away with other family events on, we had a very hands on learning morning.  Ollie was writing Python based games and started learning how to use Gimp to edit and create images and Brock had fun learning electronics and playing around with Arduino and sensors etc. Tim was working on designing something and Diane managed to get a bit of sewing done.  The morning went very fast.

This was held on Saturday the 13th of August and ran from 2pm to 6pm at the main Bunbury Library.  What a blast!  There where 5 of us each with a display table where we met and chatted around 1500 people over the afternoon and discussed our projects that we had on display.  Even the squally weather didn't keep people away.  There where other groups presenting science based information as well.  A fantastic day and we hope it will become a annual event.

A great turnout for a winter meeting and with all the rain and wind.

Harry was working on his home made Macro keyboard. He now has the OLED screen working and designing up the next version.

Phillip was playing around with some online HR Radio reception and decoding data.

Stephen was finishing off a PCB design for a fan and heater controller board for his resin 3D printer.

Steve dropped off some drawings of the proposed Dardanup Maker Space.

Rick scootered in and worked on some software.

I brought along a new ESP32-S3 8MB RAM and 16MB Flash board that I had just assembled. There was also a new version of my Name Badge e-Paper board.

There was lots of conversation around the table, some some mentions of: Super Slicer that some people prefer to use.  We all loved the inspirational Smart Harptic Knob  I have already ordered the magnetic encoder IC and created a breakout PCB for it.

Our last meeting of the year was held at the INTR Studio in downtown Bunbury - just before they moved to a new location.

No photos unfortunatly, but we all sat around tables in the center of the room and chatted while working on our projects.  Tim brought along a metal saw and had a go at building a frame.  Caitlin had all her Arduino gear out to play with and we helped.  Harry was working on his battery replacer power supply.  Other people worked on their software projects too.

A big thanks to Caitlin for hosting us!

Well that was the last meeting at the Eaton Library.  We thank them for hosting us for the last three or four years!

We had one of the original meeting members pop by.  Lots of laughs and memories.

I missed photographing Harry's stop motion camera power supply, however you can view some of his videos here. We also had noise and action around a electronic car engine controller.  Great to hear and see it in action!

A blown older version that needs a bit of love to be resurrected:

I was away for the last two meetings, so no blogging.  I do believe the August 3D printing workshop that Phillip with Rick 's help, was successful, and the mini-Expo was a lot of fun.

Back on track again.  It was great to see everyone again.  Loved Harry's new speakers that he built from recycled timber, and a re-purposed Bluetooth audio amplifier:

Caitlin brought along a Bare Conductive music player board - this is a very nifty board:

Diane brought along some colour to the meeting:
