Two of the SW Makers where invited by Curtin Engineering to attend and display at the Curtin Robofair that was held at the Bentley campus on Sunday the 24th of November.
We arrived early to setup and prepare for the hoards of Maker enthusiasts.
Stephen's 3D printers drew an interested crowd and he met a fellow WA Felix 3D printer guy.

Ok, so there are only a few people present here, as I was too busy to take any photos earlier in the day.  Pole-Cam seemed to be a hit:

As well as the Macro-photography rig:

There where three floors of interesting projects and groups.  I only managed to pop out for a quick walk around right at the end, so I didn't get any photos of the two Adult Lego groups that where present, but I did manage to get a few other photos before everything was packed away for another year.

Below is an Octo-pod UAV.  It's big brother can lift a 7.5Kg Cinema quality video camera:

This UAV can be used in autonomous mode, or via R/C and has been used out on the Nullarbor to look for meteorites:

It was an interesting day and we met all kinds of people, from school kids, to uni students (one was working on a similar projects to my sleep-pi project) and onto adult Makers.  We even met people who had driven up from Bunbury to see the event and hopefully, we might have gained a few new members

It would be nice to see a yearly WA Makers Fair
being held in Perth, or even better, the SW.  I see the NSW Power House Museum held a Mini-Makers Fair on the same day as well.
